Why I’m Repositioning Make Way Media and Who I Work With Now
For a long time, I’ve described myself as a photographer who helps businesses with social media.
That was true.
But it was never the full story.
Since 2014, I’ve been organically growing brands online. Not through trends or shortcuts, but through understanding people. What they respond to. What makes them trust. What makes them buy.
Photography has always been part of that. Visual storytelling matters.
But what businesses actually need isn’t more photos.
They need clarity.
They need positioning.
They need consistent, strategic visibility.
Over the past year, especially after being made redundant, I’ve taken a hard look at how I’ve been running my business.
I’ve realised I’ve been under positioning myself.
Under charging.
Over delivering.
And quietly doing strategic work while calling it “just social media management.”
That stops now.
Make Way Media is evolving.
I’m focusing on strategic visibility for independent, creative and community led businesses.
The kind of businesses that care about what they do.
The kind of brands that don’t want to feel salesy or forced online.
The kind of founders who are brilliant at their craft but don’t have the time or headspace to build a consistent marketing system.
That’s where I come in.
I don’t just post content.
I build visibility structures.
I audit what’s working and what isn’t.
I create clear content direction.
I write with intention.
I track performance.
I refine.
And yes, when needed, I create the visuals that support it all.
But strategy comes first.
Growth doesn’t come from random posting.
It comes from clarity, consistency and confidence.
If you’re an independent brand looking for thoughtful, strategic marketing support, not hype, not gimmicks, then we’ll work well together.
If you’re looking for overnight virality or bargain pricing, I’m probably not the right fit.
This next chapter is about working with fewer clients, more deeply.
About building sustainable growth rather than chasing numbers.
And about valuing the work properly.
I’m excited about this direction.
It feels aligned.
And it feels overdue.
If that resonates with you, I’d love to talk.
